Without Clean Electricity, Plug-In Vehicles Aren’t So Hot

Carnegie Mellon just put out a new study discussing the GHG impact of conventional cars, hybrids, and plug-ins. The most interesting conclusion is that unless we clean up the grid, PHEVs aren't really worth that much. Still beat the pants of standard cars though!

Portal ending

Portal is one of the best games out. It's humor and playability makes up for the fact that it is short.

It's humor is best reflected in the ending video, this has to be one of the best video game songs out there.

Looking Back In Anger

"In fact, simply remembering is not enough. Memory itself is neutral. We remember bland bits of data like phone numbers and train schedules and what we ate for dinner yesterday. It is emotion that imbues such memories with substance — the phone number of someone we love, the train that took us to our first job, the dinner that we shared with old friends. No, we must not only remember 9/11. We must also remain angry."
